Use these recipes to explore the uses of clary sage in an effective, efficient way.
1. Sound Sleep Blend
This diffusion blend takes just a few minutes to prepare and offers you calming relief as you drift off to sleep. Use a warm bowl of water or a timed electronic diffuser by your bedside. Choosing distilled water assures that the vapors you inhale add to your experience.
- 500 ml warm distilled water
- 3 drops clary sage
- 3 drops lavender
- 3 drops marjoram
Add the water to a bowl or diffuser, mix well. Begin diffusion 15 minutes before bedtime. If you don’t have a diffuser, leaving the steaming mix in your room with the door closed will fill the air with the beauty of this blend. Sleep well!

- 60 ml of your favorite carrier oil
- 18 drops clary sage
- 18 drops lavender
- 18 drops marjoram
Blend everything well (this makes a 3% dilution). Apply balm to forearms and upper chest 15 minutes before bedtime. If you prefer a lighter application, rub into wrist pulse points. Sleep well!
